The Apple iPhone is so much more than a cell phone, it's also a full iPod MP3 and video player with a wide screen. It packs in a version of OS X, a full Web browser, a 2-megapixel camera, and a 3.5-inch display with higher resolution than any current iPod.
Apple has cut the price by half to make the new iPhone more affordable for users, so that the 8GB model will sell for US$199 and the 16GB model for $299. So now many more of us will be able to afford one of these fabulous devices. However, the question of where we can go to get the reliable supply of unlimited iPhone downloads we will all need if we are to use the iPhone to its fullest, and gain value from our purchase, has become of concern to many.
The iPhone is so versatile that it is fully capable of playing movies, and games, displaying our favorite tv shows, plus acting as a full iPod for music, and last but not least it hosts a wide range software applications. Put all this together and iPhone owners have a serious need for top quality download facilities.
Leading developers such as AOL, Electronic Arts, Epocrates, salesforce.com and Sega, to mention just a few, are producing some amazing applications for the iPhone - again this all means that yet more great downloads on their way.
Again, at Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference recently it became clear that 3G, and GPS, was just the start with ever more new applications emerging and on their way - all requiring big downloads! Even the music and video files are bigger downloads for the iPhone as they are compatible with Windows and other popular operating systems.
Many movie distributors have also been, and still are, in the process of converting their DVD collections (movies, concert or music DVDs) and movie files to iPhone video. They are also extracting iPhone audio from music DVDs and videos. The ripping process is resulting in total to a huge amount of content for the iPhone owner. Which, again, returns us to our quest, to consider how these exacting download demands can be met by service providers.
If you love your music as much as me, the per download fee payments can get expensive very quickly. Sites that charge a once only membership fee offer the best value.
You might at first think that the free iPhone download sites will be fine for your use, but the fact is that the reputable ones make their money by including advertising with their downloads. That means that your iPhone experience will become that of continually waiting for annoying unwanted ads to finish before you can access your content.
There are also of course other more dubious sites offering free iPhone downloads, at best the downloading process is unsecured from these sites. Worse! The providers of these download sites may have seriously underhand motives for offering the service, and there have been many reports of adware, spyware and viruses being distributed by such sites. File sharing programs are also themselves notorious for their lack of security.
One site to get your iPhone downloads, where you can download everything you want after joining and paying the remarkably low cost membership fee, and do all that without security concerns, stands out from the crowd. Check out the links below to see the most popular sites.
